The Journey Thus far…
Jack was born in 1993 in Watford, before moving to Southampton at the age of two.
After joining the British Army at 16 years old, he immediately volunteered for the All Arms Commando Course. On successful completion, he spent the next seven years of his career within 59 Commando Squadron, giving him a wealth of experience in risk management and operating in high stress situations.
Backstory
Jack’s grandfather passed away on 20th November 2007 as a result of a brain tumour. Since then, Jack has devoted his fundraising to raise money for brainstrust, a charity dedicated to providing personalised support to people with a brain tumour and their loved ones.

After captaining 24 CDO ER to winning the British Army indoor rowing league in 2019, it became his ambition to push his competitive rowing to the next level.
United we conquer
A unique challenge, rowing completely unaided from mainland Europe (Lagos) to mainland America (Miami), all to raise £65,000+ for an incredible charity, brainstrust.
The route was 4,630 nautical miles, taking 111 days to row. Jack now holds the Official Guinness World Record for completing this challenge.
The row was incredibly testing, both mentally and physically, but it’s something Jack couldn’t wait to do in memory of his late grandfather.

Perhaps his greatest test came in 2023, when a skydiving accident left him with a serious leg injury that doctors warned could have lasting consequences.
As 4,000ft as he pulled his parachute, his left leg got tangled in his lines, and ripped his knee ‘like a Christmas cracker.’ He tore all 4 ligaments and damaged soft tissue.
Conquered the seas (again)
Just 2 years later, Jack was back behind an oar, ready to cross the Atlantic one more time. This time, in a team of 4.
They spent 56 days at sea, facing the full mercy of the elements, including 6m swell, resulting in a capsize.
The row raised over £100,000 for charity. Additionally, it attracted 15 corporate sponsorships, including the likes of Huel and Montane.
Since his last row, Jack has bought a house! But as it’s a bit of a ‘fixer-upper’, Jack spends most of his days as a handyman.
He’s also spent time planning logistics for Beijing to London, reigning in sponsorships, renovating a van, and curating his YouTube channel.
Although he hasn’t stopped running. In the first half of 2026 alone Jack has:
Ran the UTMB Arc of Attrition (100 miles, 29 hrs)
Won The Mackyard Backyard Ultra (143 miles, 35 hrs)
Ran the London Marathon, only finding out the day before.
Ran the UTMB Ultra Trail Snowdonia (100 km, 20 hrs)
Despite being immersed in adulthood, the graft doesn’t stop here for Jack. Bring on Beijing.
